Set up texting and register your number

Start texting today

1. Go to Settings → SMS / Voice Calls.
2. Turn on Enable SMS Messaging.
3. Under Number provider, open Wrapstart SMS and select it.
4. Click Save SMS Settings.

Your texts now go out from a shared Wrapstart number, and replies come into the Message Centre. Texts count toward your plan's monthly allowance, shown on the Wrapstart SMS tab.

Register a US number for texting

US carriers require every business number to be registered before it can text. Wrapstart does this for your Wrapstart number at no extra cost. Canadian numbers don't need it and can text straight away.

1. On the Wrapstart number tab, click Register for texting.
2. Check the details we filled in under Business, Business address and Contact person: your Legal business name, Type of business, EIN, website and address.
3. Click Submit for review.

Approval usually takes a few days. The status shows Texting under review, then Texting ready. Until then, your texts go out from the shared Wrapstart number, while calls already use your new number. If it shows Texting not approved, click Check details and resubmit.
