For Marketing Agencies

Bring in existing leads and contacts

Moving a client from another system? Import their existing leads and customers so nothing falls through the cracks and every follow-up runs from one place.

Who can do this

imports live in Settings, which the Marketing role can't open. Ask the shop owner to run the import, or to give you the Setup Specialist role while you move the client over.

Pick a source

Go to Settings, then Data Import, and choose where the data comes from.

SourceWhat it brings in
Leads SpreadsheetLeads from any spreadsheet. Download the template to see the columns.
Customer SpreadsheetCustomers and their vehicles. Download the template, fill it in, upload it.
GoHighLevelLeads from a GoHighLevel opportunities export.
OrbisXCustomers, invoices and leads.
Urable, TintWiz, Zoho BooksCustomers and invoices.
TORQ CRMInvoices, with their customers.
QuickBooksCustomers. Invoices sync live through Integrations instead.

Every importer takes .csv, .xlsx or .xls files.

How an import works

  1. Drop the file on the upload box, or click to browse.
  2. Check the preview. Each row is marked Ready, Returning customer, Duplicate or Error. Untick anything you don't want.
  3. Click Import. You'll see how many were imported, linked to customers, skipped and failed.
  4. Click Open the leads board to see them.

Duplicates are skipped, so importing the same file twice won't double up. A lead whose email or phone already belongs to a customer is linked to that customer instead of creating a second person. New customers keep the date they were created in the old system.

Moving from GoHighLevel

  1. In GoHighLevel, open Opportunities, switch to the list view, select the opportunities and export them.
  2. In Wrapstart, go to Settings, Data Import, GoHighLevel, and upload the file.
  3. Match things up in the preview:
    • Stages: pick which Wrapstart column each GoHighLevel stage goes to, or create a New column for it. Won deals go to the won column, lost and abandoned ones to the lost column.
    • Boards: if the shop has lead boards, pick a board for each GoHighLevel pipeline.
    • Assigned to: match each GoHighLevel user to a team member, or choose Nobody.
  4. Click Import.

Custom fields, followers and the GoHighLevel IDs are saved in each lead's notes, so nothing is lost. Uploading a newer export later skips the leads already imported.
