Flag a customer and set safeguards

A flag warns your team about a customer before they book or quote. A safeguard records the rule your team should follow for them.

Flag a customer

  1. Open the customer's profile and choose Actions, then Flags & Safeguards.
  2. Click Add Flag.
  3. Pick a Flag Reason: No Show, Late Cancellation, Payment Dispute, Unpaid Balance, Warranty Issue or Other.
  4. Add Internal Notes if you like. Only your team sees them.
  5. Click Add Flag.

To clear a flag, click Resolve Flag, add a note if you like, then click Confirm Resolution. Resolved flags stay in the history.

Set safeguards

In the Safeguards section of the same panel, click Enable next to a rule:

  • Require Deposit: take a deposit before booking.
  • Prepaid Only: take full payment before the work.
  • Manager Approval: a manager approves their bookings.

Click Active to turn a safeguard off again. Safeguards are reminders for your team. Wrapstart doesn't block a booking on its own.

Where your team sees it

A flagged customer shows a flag on their profile and on the booking, quote and invoice forms.

Flags from other shops

If Cross-Shop Flag Notifications is on in Settings, a Contribute to network box appears when you add a flag. It's ticked to start with, and anonymously tells other Wrapstart shops this customer was flagged. No details are shared. When other shops have flagged a customer, you see Flagged by Other Shops.
