Messages and phone

Answer incoming calls

When a customer calls your number, the owner and every team member who can see Messages ring at the same time, in the browser and on their phones. The first to answer takes the call.

In the browser

Keep Wrapstart open in a tab. An incoming call card appears in the bottom right with the caller and what you know about them. Click Accept or Decline. Closing the card doesn't end the call; it keeps ringing on other phones.

On your phone

  1. In the Wrapstart app, go to More → Calling.
  2. Under Incoming calls, turn on Ring this phone.
  3. Allow microphone access when asked.

Calls then ring like normal phone calls, even when the app is closed, on iPhone and Android. It's set per phone. With a Wrapstart number it starts on; with your own Twilio number, turn it on.

Voicemail

If nobody answers within 30 seconds, the caller can leave a voicemail of up to 3 minutes. It shows in their conversation as Voicemail.

Text back missed calls

Build an automation with the Missed Call trigger to text "Sorry we missed you" automatically.

Good to know

Want the AI to answer when you can't? Set Answer calls in the AI Receptionist settings: after hours, when nobody picks up, or always. With your own Twilio number, you can instead forward calls to one phone with Forward incoming calls to a phone; then the browser doesn't ring.
