Team chat

Team chat is for talking to your own team, never customers. Use it for quick questions, job updates and photos.

Start a chat

  1. Open the Message Centre and go to the Team tab.
  2. Click New chat to message one person, or New group for a few people (for example, "Install crew").
  3. Type your message. Type @ and a name to mention someone.

Job chats

Every job can have its own chat with its crew. Click Team chat on a job to open it. Photos added in the chat stay with the job. To pass on something a customer said, hover their message and click Share to job chat, add a note for the crew, and click Share.

Notifications

Your team gets a push on their phone for new team messages. To quiet a busy chat, turn on Mute notifications in it; you'll still hear about messages that mention you.

Tip

Crews can use team chat in the Staff app too. Team members without the app can be sent an Invite from the new chat screen.
