For Marketing Agencies

Build and set up a lead form

Create a lead form, choose its fields, match the brand and turn it on.

  1. Open Leads from the main menu.
  2. Click the Lead Forms button (the page icon in the toolbar). This opens Lead Capture.
  3. Under Where are your leads coming from?, click Website, then Create a Wrapstart-hosted form. If the shop already has forms, you can also click Create Form above the Your Lead Forms list.
  4. Pick a starting point:
    • Quick quote: name, phone, email and vehicle. Short, so more people finish it
    • Full quote request: contact details, vehicle, the services they want and a message
    • Contact us: name, email, phone and a message, for a contact page
    • Standard form: nine common fields to start from

The builder opens full screen with three steps along the top: 1. Build, 2. Style and 3. Share. A live preview of the form sits beside the settings. Click anything in the preview to edit it.

You can change every field, colour and word after picking a template. Click Save in the top-right corner whenever you like.

Build: fields and wording

  • Form name: an internal name only the shop's team sees, such as Website quote form or Spring promo landing page. Use one form per page or campaign so you can tell them apart.
  • Heading: turn on Show a heading to add a title and a short description above the fields.
  • Fields: drag to reorder. Click a field to change its label, placeholder or Required setting. Click Add a field to choose from:
    • Contact: first name, last name, email, phone, message
    • Vehicle: one year/make/model picker, or separate year, make, model and colour fields
    • Questions: a services picker (pulls from the shop's own services), dropdown, short answer, checkbox
    • Consent: text message opt-in, email marketing opt-in, AI call consent
  • One screen at a time: splits a long form into short screens with a progress bar and a Next button. Start a new screen from any field's settings.
  • Button: the text on the submit button, such as Get my quote.
  • After someone submits: write the thank-you message, and optionally add a thank-you page URL on the client's site. The message shows first, then the page opens. A thank-you page on the client's own site is the most reliable place for extra conversion tracking (see Set up Google and Meta tracking).
Tip

include a phone field and the text message opt-in. The shop's AI follow-up and text automations need both to reach the lead.

Style: match the client's brand

  • Look: presets that set colours, fonts and layout in one click. Your wording is kept.
  • Colours: brand colour, text colour, input background, input border and button text.
  • Font: any Google font. It loads on the live form by itself.
  • Layout: Card (the form sits on its own panel) or Seamless (it blends into the page behind it). Also corners, spacing, filled or outlined inputs, and labels above or inside the inputs.
  • Button: solid or outline, and full width if you like.
  • Branding: show the shop's logo and business name. The logo comes from the shop's Settings, Branding.

Share: save and turn it on

Click Save. New forms open on the Share step once saved. If the form is off, click Turn on (or use the On switch at the top) so visitors can send it.

The Share step gives you:

  • Share the link: a hosted page for the form. Use it in texts, emails, social bios, link-in-bio tools and the Google Business Profile. Download QR gives a code for flyers, the counter or a wrapped vehicle.
  • Put it on your website: the embed code. See Add a lead form to your client's website.
  • Test it: click Send a test and check the lead arrives on the Leads page.

Edits you save later show on the live form straight away. You never need to re-paste the code.

Where the leads go

Each submission becomes a lead on the shop's Leads page, with the source shown as the form's name. Wrapstart reads the submission, fills in the lead's details and starts the shop's follow-up. To build follow-up for one form, use the Lead Form Submitted trigger in Automations.

To see every submission for a form, open Lead Capture, click the menu beside the form, then View Submissions.
