Run a test
- Save the automation and make sure it's Active.
- In the builder, open the ⋮ menu at the top and choose Test Run.
- Pick the customer, quote or invoice to run it on.
- Under Send test to (optional), enter your own email and phone number, so texts and emails come to you.
- Click Run Now.
Important
A test runs every step for real. Tasks, tags, status changes and new records really happen, delays really wait, and Send Proposal goes to the customer. Test on a customer record you made for yourself.
Execution History
When you edit an automation, open Execution History on the left. Use the dropdown to show All runs, Running, Done, Skipped, Failed or Didn't match trigger.
- Each run shows who it ran for, how many steps ran and when.
- A run that's waiting shows when it resumes. Click Cancel to stop it.
- An amber line explains a skipped or held step, for example when Pause on manual conversation held a message.
- Didn't match trigger lists runs the trigger's settings filtered out, like the wrong status or lead source.
If an automation didn't run
- Check it's Active on the Automations list.
- Check the trigger settings: a To Status or lead source that doesn't match means it never starts.
- Look in Didn't match trigger and Skipped in its history.
- Check the person hasn't opted out, and that texting is on in Settings.
