For Marketing Agencies

Text message consent

Texting is how most leads get answered fast, so get consent right from day one.

Add the opt-in to every form

In the form builder, click Add a field and pick Text message opt-in from the Consent group. It reads:

I agree to receive text messages from this business about my quote, bookings, and related updates. Message frequency varies, msg & data rates may apply, reply STOP to unsubscribe.

The same group has Email marketing opt-in and AI call consent (for shops whose AI assistant phones leads). Each can be added once per form.

What Wrapstart does with it

  • Marketing automations only text leads and customers with recorded consent. Without it, the text is skipped and the automation's Execution History shows why.
  • Everyday messages, such as booking confirmations, still go to everyone.
  • STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) opts a person out of all automated texts straight away. They stay opted out until they text START.
  • Marketing emails are never sent to anyone who unsubscribed.

Contact hours for the AI

In the Lead Agent settings, turn on Contact Hours and set From and Until so the AI only messages people at sensible times. Replies drafted outside those hours wait and send when the window opens. The shop's timezone must be set in Settings, Business Info for this to work.

Texting registration (US numbers)

US carriers require a business to register before its number can send texts. If the shop uses a Wrapstart number, the owner completes Register for texting once with the business, address and contact person details.
