Messages and phone

Change the wording of your emails and texts

When you send a quote, an invoice or a document, Wrapstart uses a ready-made email and text. You can change the wording to sound like your shop.

Edit a template

  1. Go to Settings → Templates.
  2. Pick the message: Quote, Invoice, Payment receipt (email only), Design proof, Proof reminder or Document signing.
  3. On the Email tab, change the Subject and Message. On the Text tab, change the Text message.
  4. Click Insert Variable to add details that change each time, like the customer's first name or the total.
  5. Click Preview with sample details to check it, then Save and use this wording.

Each message shows Your wording once you've changed it, or Wrapstart wording if not. Reset to Wrapstart wording goes back to the original. Templates apply to everyone on your team.

Variables

Variables are written in double curly brackets, such as {{customer_first_name}}, {{business_name}}, {{quote_number}}, {{total}}, {{invoice_number}}, {{balance_due}} or {{due_date}}. Each message offers the ones that fit it. The link to the quote, invoice or document is added for you if you leave it out of the text.

Other messages

Some messages are set up on their own pages. Other messages customers get on the Templates page links to each one: review requests, payment reminders, booking reminders, automations, proposal templates, your email signature and the look of your invoices and quotes.
