Frequently
asked questions

How much vinyl does a full wrap need?

A typical sedan needs around 225 sq ft of vinyl, a full-size SUV or pickup around 275 sq ft, and large vans 350–400+ sq ft — plus a waste factor of roughly 15% for bleed, mistakes and complex curves. The calculator estimates this from vehicle type and coverage, and you can override it.

How should I price a wrap job?

Start from real costs — material with waste, labor hours at your shop rate, design and prep fees, plus overhead — then apply the profit margin you want to earn. Price = total cost ÷ (1 − margin). Pricing from cost up protects your margin on every job.

What margin should a wrap shop target?

Many healthy shops target 30–50% gross margin on wrap jobs. The right number depends on your market, capacity and demand — the calculator lets you set any margin and shows the resulting profit in dollars.
